Producer representative from the Alberta Wheat Commission
Hannah Konschuh is a grain producer, operating Generation Land & Grain Co. Ltd. near Cluny Alberta, growing wheat, canola, barley, and yellow peas. She farms with her parents, Sheila & Eldon Konschuh and her husband, Casey O’Grady.
Hannah completed a B.Sc in Agriculture and a M.Sc. in Soil Science from the University of Saskatchewan, and went on to work in a number of research roles prior to joining her family farm.
Hannah is currently the Vice-Chair of the Alberta Wheat Commission (AWC) and represents wheat producers in region 2. Hannah was elected to the AWC board in 2018 and started her term as Vice-Chair in 2019. Hannah represents AWC on the Grains Round Table and joined the Canadian International Grains Institute (Cigi) board in 2019.
In addition to this role, Hannah is also a member of the National Program Advisory Committee (NPAC), an Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada committee made up of producer members from across the country, tasked with interfacing with government officials to improve the suite of business risk management programs under CAP (AgriInsurance, AgriStability, AgriInvest).
