Representative of the crop development and seed companies, from Bayer Canada
Trish Jordan is passionate about agriculture, farmers and enhancing agricultural awareness with the non-farming public.
In her current Government & Industry Affairs role with Bayer Crop Science Canada, Trish engages with key farm and industry stakeholders, as well as provincial government stakeholders in the Prairie provinces, to advocate for modern agriculture and Bayer’s business. She works collaboratively and transparently with these same stakeholders to solve issues that impede access to innovation in agriculture.
Prior to joining Bayer, Trish lead Public & Industry Affairs at Monsanto Canada for 19 years where she was responsible for media relations, issues management, and providing strategic communications support to core business activities. She also managed corporate giving activities, farmer and industry relations and the company’s efforts to share the story of modern agriculture with Canadian consumer audiences.
She donates her time to several boards and committees, including Agriculture in the Classroom-Manitoba, the Canadian Agriculture Hall of Fame, Cereals Canada, and Clean Farms. In 2013, she was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for her leadership in agriculture; advocacy for innovation and competitiveness; and her commitment to community service.
