Mark Walker joins Cereals Canada to Lead Market, Trade and Government Relations


Winnipeg, Manitoba April 19, 2022: Cereals Canada is pleased to announce Mark Walker as the Vice President of Markets and Trade starting on May 2, 2022. He will be located in Winnipeg, Manitoba.  

“Mark will provide strong collaborative leadership for the development and execution of our strategy on domestic and international Market Access, Trade, Sustainability and Policy files for our organization,” says Dean Dias chief executive officer of Cereals Canada. “He will also lead Cereals Canada’s long term government relations engagement strategy.”

Walker holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Manitoba, Faculty of Law, a Master of Arts specializing in International Economic Policy from the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs at Carleton University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Studies with a French Minor from the University of Manitoba. Prior to joining Cereals Canada, Walker provided consulting services to clients in the agriculture industry. He also worked at Canadian Canola Growers Association where he represented the canola industry on numerous national and international sustainability and policy initiatives.

“Mark comes with an impressive background, including relevant experience gained within the industry and non-agricultural sectors. He brings strong leadership skills, policy and government relations that will enhance our team at Cereals Canada in achieving our objectives and vision,” says Dias.
