Cereals Canada Updates Wheat Production Numbers

The numbers are in! In 2025, Canadian farmers grew nearly 40 million tonnes of wheat, with the majority in the top two grades.

Western Canada produced a crop with above-average volumes and yields. The 2025 wheat crop is 11 percent larger than last year and 23 percent larger than average, thanks to above-average yields for both non-durum wheat and durum wheat.

In 2025–2026, 27.7 million tonnes of wheat are expected to reach more than 80 international markets, reinforcing Canada’s reputation for quality and reliability.
